1. Self-Tapping Cylinder Screws
These specialized screws secure the cylinder and engine housing. The IS-D5.3x41 size is a direct replacement for OEM part 9075-478-4195, fitting MS250 and numerous other STIHL models
2. Side Chain Tensioner Adjustment
The MS250 uses a side-mounted chain tensioner. Turning the tensioning screw clockwise tightens the chain; turning it counterclockwise loosens it. This adjustment is performed through the sprocket cover with the bar nuts loosened
3. Carburetor Tuning Screws
The MS250 carburetor has three adjustment screws: High Speed (H), Low Speed (L), and Idle Speed (LA). The H and L screws control fuel mixture, while the LA screw sets idle RPM. Standard settings are 1 turn out for H and L from lightly seated
