A: The angle indicates how wide the fan pattern opens. 80° is for narrow spacing or higher spray heights. 110° is standard for boom sprayers at 50cm height. 120° provides wider coverage for lower spray heights.
Q2: How do I choose the correct orifice size?
A: Follow chemical label recommendations for application rate (L/hectare). Larger orifices (0.8–1.5mm) deliver higher flow for systemic herbicides. Smaller orifices (0.3–0.5mm) provide fine droplets for contact pesticides.
Q3: When should I replace my brass fan nozzle?
A: Replace when the spray pattern becomes distorted, streaky, or uneven, or when flow rate increases by more than 10% from original (indicating orifice wear). Also replace if the nozzle is cracked or clogged beyond cleaning.
